Leonardo / OLATS is the French (European) sister organization of Leonardo / ISAST, The International Society for the Arts, Science and Technology. The association is active in the domain of art and creation that relates to life, bio(techno)logy, and biodiversity in different ways: audio publishing with a series of podcasts, organization of workshops and conferences, providing support to the projects of artists in residence and, above all, publications. Leonardo is a reputed peer-reviewed academic journal published by the MIT Press covering the application of contemporary science and technology to the arts and music.

Leonardo / OLATS adds an outstanding capacity to disseminate the results of “Roots & Seeds XXI” and to reach the targeted audiences (ie. artists and scientists). Their LASER Events were initiated in 2008 by Leonardo as an international programme, and today they operate worldwide across 30 cities, taking place in landmark venues such as the Pompidou Center in Paris. LASER Events is a reputed format of knowledge and experience exchange related to Art & Science creations. In addition, its participation in landmark Art & Science EU projects such as “Trust me, I’m an Artist” or the “FEAT Project” connects “Roots & Seeds XXI” with some of the most reputed networks in the domain of Art & Science.
